The least glamorous part of a litter tray is often the part most worth improving. PETKIT AutoSeal is a dedicated waste bin: scoop the tray by hand, drop the clumps into the top and let the machine close and heat-seal its bag.

That makes it a companion to an ordinary or automatic litter box, not an automatic litter box itself. It does not detect a cat, clean a tray or replace daily checks.

What PETKIT is offering

PETKIT describes an automatic door, heat sealing and an 8-litre waste compartment beneath a 2-litre upper chamber. The company says it can hold up to 15 days of waste, but that will vary with the number of cats, litter type and how often you scoop. A proprietary refill ring supplies the liner material.

The official US page showed AutoSeal as a pre-order at $109.99 when checked on 5 October 2026, with shipping expected from 2 November. That is a manufacturer timetable, not a UK launch promise.

UK availability: not yet confirmed

We found no confirmed pound price or UK availability on PETKIT's UK store. UK readers should therefore treat AutoSeal as a preview, not a product they can rely on receiving here today. Do not convert the dollar price and assume that it covers VAT, delivery, warranty support or refill supply.

Before ordering, ask for a written UK delivery date, total price in pounds, plug and electrical details, warranty arrangements and the local price of refill rings. A clever bin is only convenient while its consumables remain easy to buy.

What to consider at home

Measure the space beside the litter tray and allow room to open and clean the unit. Heat sealing may reduce the path for odour to escape, but it does not remove the need to empty the compartment, wipe spills or wash hands after handling waste. Keep cables and the opening away from curious cats and children.

If your priority is a tray that controls access or cleaning, compare the AutoSeal with a microchip-access routine or browse current litter-box technology in the catalogue. They solve different jobs.

Pet Tomorrow's view

The concept is sensible: automate the seal rather than making grand claims about automated care. Its value in Britain will depend less on the mechanism than on a confirmed UK launch and affordable refill supply. Until both are clear, it belongs on a watch list.
